Why Support Hillsdale Hospital
Fund Necessary Equipment to Improve Patient Care
The items identified on our capital equipment list allow Hillsdale Hospital to improve patient care; remain committed to innovative high-quality services; and maintain our facility.
Ensure the Long-Term Sustainability of Your Local Hospital
Hillsdale Hospital was founded in 1915 and has been serving our community ever since! With your support, we will continue to preserve and advance the care we provide for another 107 years, right here in Hillsdale County and beyond. Your support for the capital campaign frees up dollars in the hospital’s general fund that can be used for patient safety needs, operational support and more.
How You Can Get Involved

One-Time Gift or Pledge
Help support our mission through a one-time gift or a pledge that will help us get closer to reaching our goal of raising $1,000,000 for Hillsdale Hospital capital equipment needs. Review the capital equipment list and determine what item(s) you would like to help fund and how much of that item you want to cover with your gift. Pledges can be made for up to two years, so consider a monthly gift if you want to do more over a longer period of time. Fill out a donation form or give securely online (including setting up recurring monthly gifts as part of a long-term pledge) at hillsdalehospital.com/campaigngift

Echocardiogram Machine
An echocardiogram uses sound waves to create images of the heart. This test can show blood flow through the heart chambers and heart valves. Healthcare providers can use this test to find heart disease and other heart conditions.
HVAC Controls & Cooling
The HVAC unit in the laundry department is 47 years old with outdated technology, which limits operational efficiencies and ease of operation. The new unit will provide both heat and cooling for laundry which runs 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
Hana Fracture Table
A Hana Fracture Table is used during orthopedic surgery to give the surgeon better access to the surgical site and keep the patient safe. It allows the area of the body being worked on to be properly positioned and secured during surgery.
HUGS Infant Security System
The HUGS system prevents babies from being abducted. Baby wears an ankle bracelet from the moment they’re born. If a baby gets too close to an exit, the door locks, alarms sound, and the staff are alerted to which newborn to check on.
Workstations on Wheels (WoW)
A WoW is a mobile workstation with a full computer and a 10-hour battery pack. WoWs allow nursing staff to chart in real time rather than from memory or handwritten notes. They are also used when nurses provide medications to patients.
Generator for Hillsdale Orthopedics
Hillsdale Orthopedics is open 5 days a week, being closed for less than 10 business days a year. Having generator power to this building will allow the clinic to continue seeing patients during times of power outages.
