Kevin Caswell has been on the Hillsdale Hospital team for 19 years, and his smile and friendly enthusiasm is well known. As an environmental services aide, Kevin and the rest of his team make sure every department in the hospital always has clean laundry on the shelves. From pillow cases to blankets to towels, laundry adds up quickly in a hospital, but the team ensures it’s always ready for patients and staff.
Every morning, Kevin and the team pick up the dirty laundry from each unit, then roll it down to the laundry room to be washed, dried and folded at an impressive pace. Walking into that room, you’ll see a blur of blankets spinning in the dryer, inhale the fresh, warm smell of clean linens, and hear the laughter of a hardworking team.
“I enjoy all my fellow employees and the rest of the people around the hospital,” Kevin said. He also loves to meet the community members who pass him in the halls, and his upbeat attitude is reliably contagious. “Kevin is a great employee with exceptional attendance,” said Travis Deck, environmental and laundry services manager, “On any given day, you can find Kevin in our laundry room sorting and folding laundry, or out on the floor pushing his cart and collecting linen for the day.” Kevin looks forward to doing good work and making other people happy.
