Funding will provide needed equipment for hospital services
Hillsdale Hospital today announced the completion of its $1 million Capital Campaign. The funds provided by campaign donors will support the purchase of equipment needed for patient care and staff safety.
“Every dollar raised by this campaign contributes to our mission to provide exceptional patient care for our community,” said Jeremiah J. Hodshire, president and chief executive officer of Hillsdale Hospital. “We are incredibly grateful to the donors who have helped us make a difference for our patients and staff.”
The equipment purchased with the Capital Campaign funds includes an echocardiogram machine for heart condition diagnosis; an HVAC unit for the laundry department; a Hana Fracture Table for safer and more efficient orthopedic surgeries; an updated Hugs Infant Security System for infant safety in the birthing unit; Workstations on Wheels for mobile charting and improved patient care; and a generator for the Hillsdale Orthopedics clinic.
The campaign launched in November, 2023 with the Hillsdale County Community Foundation’s “Great Give” event. Throughout 2024, the Capital Campaign committee conducted meetings and public outreach to present the campaign to the community. The campaign closed with the 2024 “Great Give” event and several other community outreach efforts to bring awareness to the need for funds.
“Thank you to the dedicated members of the Capital Campaign fundraising committee, who volunteered their time and efforts to help secure these vital funds,” said Richard Moore, chair of the Capital Campaign committee and a Hillsdale Hospital board member. “We are extremely grateful to all the generous individuals who contributed to this campaign. Their support demonstrates a strong commitment to advancing healthcare in Hillsdale.”
Hillsdale Hospital is currently engaged in the process of purchasing each item from the Capital Campaign list. Upon the completion of the campaign, the team also expressed their gratitude and their hope that generosity from the community will continue.
“We are constantly looking at new ways we can improve outcomes and provide support for our patients,” Hodshire said. “When we have loyal donors in our community, we can build a sustainable, full-continuum healthcare experience for individuals and families in Hillsdale County.”
