Hillsdale Community Health Center hosted its first 5/10K run promoting health and wellness to our community. 178 community and hospital employee participants braved the cold weather on Saturday, October 13, 2012 to demonstrate their commitment to healthy living.
What is now marked as an Annual Event was launched by the healthy lifestyle committee of the hospital under the direction of the Director of Nutritional Services, Denise Lovinger, and a team of HCHC employees committed to improving the quality of health in Hillsdale County.
The route, which extended from the hospital into the City of Hillsdale, was biked, ran and walked by participants throughout the morning event who were greeted by hospital personnel at various checkpoints and water stations. An awards ceremony was conducted on the hospital campus concluding the race where hospital administration and race officials provided awards to the winners in each category.
HCHC is proud to host this event to raise awareness of healthy living in our community.
