Morgan to round out Hillsdale Surgical Group team as third physician

HILLSDALE, Mich.— Hillsdale Hospital announced today the addition of Dr. William Morgan to its Hillsdale Surgical Group practice beginning in August. He joins general surgeons Dr. Daniel Baxter and Dr. Norris March, IV; and physician assistant Kaitlyn Blankenberger.
“After much anticipation, we are excited to bring Dr. Morgan onboard in a few short months,” Rachel Lott, chief communications officer, said. “We have been engaged with Dr. Morgan for more than a year now. He committed to Hillsdale Hospital far in advance, signing on back in April 2022 to join us late this summer.”
Morgan, a native Michigander, attended medical school at Michigan State University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he completed his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) and served as vice president of the Student Osteopathic Surgical Association. He completed his general surgery residency at University of Michigan Health-West in Wyoming, Mich., while also serving as a clinical associate professor and surgical skills lab instructor at MSU’s Department of Osteopathic Surgical Specialties.
“I am so grateful for the opportunity to join the Hillsdale Hospital team,” Morgan said. “I am looking forward to serving Southern Michigan by providing quality surgical care to those in need.”
During his residency, Morgan participated in a number of scholarly activities, including as a corresponding author for a case report of a rare and malignant tumor published in the Annals of Clinical Case Reports in 2019. He has also presented to the Midwest Surgical Association and at Metro Health Research Day.
