McCance and other providers join Hillsdale Hospital’s staff
Hillsdale Medical Associates is now owned and operated by Hillsdale Hospital, as of October 29. The practice’s providers—Dr. Dan McCance, Dr. Keith Baker, Dr. Robert Schall, Hannah Engle, PA, and Hannah Burkhart, FNP—have joined Hillsdale Hospital’s staff to continue providing care.
“Dr. McCance is a fantastic physician and we’re excited for this next chapter in our long-standing relationship with him and his practice,” said Jeremiah J. Hodshire, president and chief executive officer at Hillsdale Hospital.
Both Hillsdale Medical Associates locations—located on Hudson Rd. and Broad St.—remain open and operational.
“When independent physician practice owners retire, we have a few options: close the practice or entrust it to another entity so patients can continue receiving the great care they need,” McCance said. “I am placing the practice in good hands with Hillsdale Hospital.”
Current patients at Hillsdale Medical Associates will not experience any changes in their care. Patients can sign in to appointments, view test results and access other health information through the Hillsdale Hospital MyChart platform.
“There comes a time when providers are ready to enter the next phase of their career, which is leading up to retirement,” Hodshire said. “We want a soft landing for Dr. McCance’s patients, as well as the staff. Entering an agreement like this allows us to coordinate the patient experience and create a full continuum of care.”
Schall will continue to practice at Hillsdale Medical Associates Broad St. All other Hillsdale Medical Associates providers will continue to practice at the Hudson Rd. location.
