Litchfield Health Clinic Welcomes Nurse Practitioner Rachel Stump
New Provider Brings Family Medicine & Occupational Health Experience to Clinic
LITCHFIELD, Mich.—Hillsdale Hospital’s Litchfield Health Clinic welcomed Rachel Stump, family nurse practitioner (FNP), as its primary provider today. Stump comes from Hillsdale Hospital’s walk-in clinic, Hillsdale Health & Wellness, where she saw both primary care and walk-in patients.
Stump also has experience in occupational health, creating an opportunity for Litchfield Health Clinic to expand its role in providing care to Litchfield and surrounding areas.
“Rachel will bring energy and eagerness to Litchfield Health Clinic, growing our services to better serve the community,” Seth Gibson, Hillsdale Hospital practice administrator for outpatient clinics, said. “Her occupational health background will help to enhance our offerings in Litchfield as we continue to build our partnership with the manufacturing community.”
Inspired by the medical professionals who cared for her close family members, Stump knew from a young age that she wanted to work in healthcare. She began her career as a medical assistant and then a registered nurse, also earning her bachelor of science in nursing (BSN). She further advanced her skills by becoming a nurse practitioner in 2007.
“I like the versatility of being a nurse practitioner, because I can practice in almost any area of the medical field,” Stump said. “I love being able to see my patients throughout their lives—not just when they’re sick. It’s cradle-to-grave medicine.”
Stump’s move to Litchfield Health Clinic also means she can spend more time working with primary care patients.
“I’m excited to continue seeing my regular patients, as well as new patients of all ages,” she said. “Between our clinics and the hospital, we provide so many services to our community. So, when my patients need testing, follow-up treatments or specialty care, Hillsdale Hospital can take care of a wide range of their medical needs.”
Randy Podoll, physician assistant (PA), will move from Litchfield Health Clinic to Hillsdale Health & Wellness where he will see walk-in and regular patients.
“Randy brings experience, consistency and a comprehensive treatment approach to Hillsdale Health & Wellness,” Gibson said. “His collaborative style meshes well with the team to help deliver excellent care to our patients.”
